lyrics
We are born of this womb and we will die in it’s embrace. Faded like these lines and jaded like these times. We only open our eyes when we know it’s our time to die. When we look into the skies. The buildings block the sunlight. Our heads go down and we sigh. The weight is crushing us. And yet we go on in this routine. We only open our eyes when we know it’s our time to die. When we look into the night. The city signs obscure the light. Our heads go down and we sigh. This weight is crushing us. It’s suffocating us. This weight is crushing us. It’s suffocating us all. Our shoulders burdened... Our spines bent... Our wrists swollen... Our eyes, are strained... Our compassion lost... Our voices silent... Our minds diluted... Our vision obscured. This is the new burden. This is the new slave class. We are the new burden. We are the new slave class. When we look into the mirror, the face staring back. Isn’t one we should fear, it's time to take your life back.
A grand, raw and brilliantly executed piece of blackened folk metal. The acoustic and metal passages flow together seamlessly. A must own for every Canadian - or a must own for anyone who loves damn good music. iamtherevenant
Not gonna lie, I don't usually go in for the super composed, melodic flavor of black metal. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying this release. Gives kinda an Old Man's Child type vibe. Ghuughra
Somehow they managed to go even deeper into bleak atmospheres and hateful aggression. Their songwriting also evolved further and transports the emotions fittingly. Stellar release with very high production values. Get into the details 🖤 mourner

Two death metal legends unite for a once-in-a-lifetime LP; rife with classic appeal and flavor, it's a manifesto that works in any era. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 11, 2017
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
