lyrics
Under the chapel these prayers go unanswered. Behind the alter his children bred to follow. Innocence is lost under cloak of divinity. Sinners in circumvention bowed down to their knees and face this rejection, now. Now bless this bastard child under the watchful eye (of god). You’ll bless this bastard child (it’s all lost). The innocence lost. Forgotten and shamed under guise of hierarchy. The sheep in their despair all carrying the disease. Now bless this bastard child, under the hateful eye (of god). You’ll bless this bastard child (condemn this). Condemn this life you’ve lost. You will receive this. Give me your tired hands, the most blessed sacrament. And lay your trusting head, and rest those weary eyes. And if he was real, I wonder what he would say? In this day and age (to know). To know his servants reign.
A grand, raw and brilliantly executed piece of blackened folk metal. The acoustic and metal passages flow together seamlessly. A must own for every Canadian - or a must own for anyone who loves damn good music. iamtherevenant
Not gonna lie, I don't usually go in for the super composed, melodic flavor of black metal. That said, I'm thoroughly enjoying this release. Gives kinda an Old Man's Child type vibe. Ghuughra
Somehow they managed to go even deeper into bleak atmospheres and hateful aggression. Their songwriting also evolved further and transports the emotions fittingly. Stellar release with very high production values. Get into the details 🖤 mourner

Two death metal legends unite for a once-in-a-lifetime LP; rife with classic appeal and flavor, it's a manifesto that works in any era. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 11, 2017
Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
